Est admis bourgeois de Bruxelles le 16 décembre 1794. Le 30 novembre 1802, il fonde la "Maison Pitseys, vins et spiritueux", rue au Lait n° 1085 (partie de la rue du Midi actuelle, entre la rue des Pierres et la rue au Beurre). Il la transfère ensuite rue de la Violette n° 1302 (24 juin 1814). Puis le 24 juin 1829, s'installe rue de la Régence n° 17 à 19. Le 28 avril 1835, il cède ses affaires à son fils aîné Pierre-Joseph.
