Anton Ignatz Brochier was the district's land surveyor of Fürth. He was appointed to that position after the death of his brother in law, Karl Johann Kühl who had been the district's land surveyor until his death on Dezember the 20th in 1888.
It was not a matter of relationship but a mere coincidence that Anton Ignatz was chosen to be Karl Kühl's successor. He was appointed because of his specialized knowledge and therefore was promoted into the position of a First Class Land Surveyor and with that he gained the status of being a cicil servant as well which was rather an unusual concession granted to surveyors in those days.
He held that position until he retired in February 1905.
When he had become the district's land surveyor of Fürth he and his family settled in that town where he finally died on the 3rd of September 1910.
